Schedule of Events for Friday April 2, 2004

1:30pm-2pm
Screening of "first-time" short films by AFC 2003 filmmakers.
With commentary by some of the filmmakers.

2pm-4pm
History of Filmmaking in Jordan.
Najeh Hasan, film critic and historian, will discuss the evolution
of independent filmmaking in Jordan.

4pm-6pm
Chat with Indie Filmmakers.
AFC director Aseel Mansour will discuss his filmmaking journey
followed by a screening of "Alert Guns" as well as footage from his
upcoming film. Aseel will share his production notes, and comment
on the trials and tribulations of making a film in Amman.

6pm-8pm
Screening from the Archives of Jordanian Cinema.
Screening of pioneering Jordanian film "Storm upon Petra," produced
in the early sixties.
