SPECIAL TOPIC: VIDEO MOTION AND EXPORT/COMPRESSION FORMATS - LIVE DEMO - Friday July 18, 2003

Video Export & Video Compression: Students will learn the various popular video formats such as MPEG-1, MPEG-2, and DV. Compression/Decompression concepts. Exporting to DVD, VCD, SVCD, and RealVideo. Factors to consider when compressing video such as target platform, CD player speed, distribution & storage cost, bandwidth, etc.
Video Motion: Students will learn how to manipulate clip Motion settings such as motion path, rotation, and zooming. Also, text motion and transparency will be covered. Keyframes will be introduced in the context of motion video.
Prerequisites:
- AFC's Intro to Documentary Filmmaking Workshop, comparable training, or prior filmmaking experience.
- Windows 2000/XP user-level knowledge.
