LIVE E-SEMINAR: INTRO TO WRITING THE SCREENPLAY BY AWARD-WINNING FILMMAKER ANNEMARIE JACIR

Learn basic screenplay formatting and concepts such as sluglines, character development, plot, tension, conflict, beat, resolution, and more. The workshop will be delivered live via Internet electronic conferencing from New York City where filmmakerAnnemarie Jacir currently resides. This session is the first in many series on screenwriting.

FILMMAKER'S BACKGROUND
Annemarie Jacir is a film curator, poet and activist. She has won several screenwriting awards and has taught at Bethlehem University, Birzeit University, and Columbia University. For more info about her projects, see http://www.philistine.org

He latest major achievement is the screening of her film "like twenty impossibles" at 2003 CANNES FILM FESTIVAL. Before that, she was the curator of arguably the most successful and highest profile film festival on the Palestinian experience, Dreams of a Nation Film Festival, held in New York 2002 (http://www.dreamsofanation.org).
