JORDANIAN FILM DIRECTORY IS READY FOR PRE-LAUNCH

(JORDAN - 10/12/2006) To assist researchers and journalists who are interested in Jordanian cinema, the Amman Filmmakers Cooperative (AFC) is launching a trial version of the Jordanian Film Directory at http://JordanianFilms.org.
The pre-launch film directory contains basic information about Jordanian films, both short and feature, starting with the first known film ever produced in Jordan titled "Struggle in Jarash" in 1958. At the time of this announcement, over 120 films are registered, most are
student films.In coming versions of the Jordanian Film Directory, additional features will be added such as a more robust search capability and user-driven filmography updates.
NOTE: Jordanian filmmakers are urged to register their films or inspect their film records in the Jordanian Film Directory for any needed changes and to send the updates to ArabFilmmakers@gmail.com
The Amman Filmmakers Cooperative (AFC) is a cultural initiative aimed at promoting independent Arab cinema.
